I formatted and reinstalled Windows XP Pro recently, now my PC will not switch off unless I use the power button. When i click on Start, turn off the computer, turn off the pc goes through the motions but then starts up again. Any ideas?

I'm slowly considering a new system with Duo Core (Intel). One advantage - a temperature (much lower). But, my concern is how this new processor speed (& effectiveness) compares to P4s? What I see those "2s" have nominal speed around 1.6 MHz. Does someone tried to compare it ...

I have recently lost access to my DVD-RW drive on my Gateway Pentium D PC. Gateway chat support wants me to either do a destructive Windows re-install (losing everything) OR install Windows to a new HD which would save data, but still lose all applications - trying to avoid this ...

I'm running Xp pro and I've got 2 wireless network adapters in my machine. One is a linksys wireless-n pi card and the other is a linksys usb wireless-g adapter. Both are connected and both has static IP's assigned to them. Is there a way to somehow use both of these together
