my issue:  i think the optical technology is nice IF you have a good
enough mousing surface, but while travelling you may not always have a
decent surface to work with.  sure i could drag around a special mouse
pad, but then what do i do when the pad gets damaged or bent up in my

For some reason my CD-ROM drive has no problem reading data CDs, but if
I insert an audio CD in the drive after I've used a data CD, Windows
doesn't recognize that I've changed CDs.  I'm using Windows XP

I recently had a new PC built for me - AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with ASUS

I have had this hideous problem for weeks.  The CPU spends much of its time
above 50% and frequently peaks out bogging everything down.
Running Process Explorer, nearly all usage is within "Deferred Procedure
Calls" and "Hardware Interrupts."

Unit is only being found as a CD player.  Can use no dvd functions.
Firmware won't install from Pioneer - says device not found.  Windows will
not install it properly.  Any help?
