I bought a 120G Seagate Barrcuda about a year ago and installed Windows
2000 on it with no problems.  I then purchased a new computer about 6
months ago and installed the old drive as a slave with no problems.
Left everything intact, just selected the jumper and popped it right

Will copies of emails sent out through outlook or outlook express sit
in allocated disk space of your hard drive OR unallocated disk space?
Is it possible for web based client emails to be found on allocated
disk space of the hard drive?

How much percentage of the consumers bought their whole computers from named
brand, such as HP,DELL?  And how much percentage of them bought different
parts of hardware and installed together later? Which is better for users?
Upgrading is more convinient for the latter? But it needs ...

I just bought a AMD 3000+ with onboard sound. I reinstalled the realtek ac 97
drivers,nothing. I also checked BIOS to make sure onboard was enabled. Now if
this is a PCI board do all settings need to be PCI in BIOS,because they are
reading EUD or something to that affect...

Recently I bought a Hitachi Travelstar 40 GB harddisk with a USB case.
I have been using Windows Xp Operating System. When I plug my
harddisk(mounted in a USB case) to my USB port, It gets detected but it
is not visible in My Computer. What is the Problem ?

I've got 3 hard drives on my PC. One of them is only used for backup
purposes, so it would be nice if I could turn this off when I don't
need it (99.99..% of the time).

I have a camera here that i'm trying to install on my PC. The instructions

My sound was working fine on win xp home sp1 until I upgraded to win xp home
sp2.
The device driver shows it is installed and working. I installed the driver

I have a 230GB hard drive that I use in Win NT Server 4 as a file server.  
On  Thanksgiving, I got a message that the drive was corrupted.  Ran chckdsk
and it stated that the version of chkdsk was older and I needed to run chkdsk

Installed a new drive which says write speed is 32x. However, Nero 6 says
max is 4x and gives option of 2x.
How do I increase write speed?

I have a MicroAdvantage 128MB USB drive that has suddenly become write
protected.  All of the files and folders are now locked, and can't be
deleted.  Changing properties is not allowed ("media write protected").

I'm trying to update my video card drivers (Ati). The problem I'm having is
that after un-installing the old video drivers via the 'add/remove' app., it
tells me to reboot. After rebooting the 'Found new hardware wizard' shows up
in my taskbar and installs the outdated drivers ...
