I just got a brand new 160GB SATA hard drive. I've formatted it at least 5
times, and after each attempt I was unable to put any files or folders on it
(though it did have a drive letter). When trying to add a new folder, it
would say "cannot find that file" or something like ...

This is my first post here so i dont know if this group belongs to my
question or not. I have a question about partition table, should i ask here

i changed over the ram in my computer and got an error when loading
windows, so i took it out, now my bios wont reconigse either of my hdd
drives, but will recognise my cd. i've tried moving the ide cables and
i know the jumpers are set correctly.

I have wXP Pro on both hard drives. one is fat32 and one is NTFS
why or should I make them both the same.

..in the BIOS configurator I read ''Chassis Fan: N/A'' and.. when I
shut down, the PC switches to stand-by instead!! The CPU fan works and
the MOBO thermosensors don't throw any 'exception'..  It's an Athlon XP
