I am setting up a wireless network for my neighbour and have got his new
Netgear wireless router/modem working fine on one of his PCs OK.
I am not familiar with the proprietary software on his Sony Vaio Laptop but

My cd drive has suddenly disapeared when I look in device manager the cd
drive has a yellow exclamation mark and says  "A driver (service) for this
device has been disabled." How do I re-enable it I tried uninstalling it and

I have a Samsung SC-152L 52x CD-ROM drive. I have recently installed WinXP
and there were errors but it eventually installed the OS. When I eventually
got into Windows the CD-ROm drive was not working and was not available in
Device Manager though it was showing in the BIOS.

I recently installed an extra 512 MB of RAM in my computer.  The POST
test reports the correct total (1 GB) and when I look in Windows under
