I have a Compaq notebook computer running WinXP Pro SP2, and regularly
use an Iomega external USB2 160GB hard drive to store data I do not
need to keep on the internal drive. Today I connected the USB drive as
normal and it was mounted as drive E: as it always has been. However,

used it years.  I found drivers at HP for Windows XP, and was able to print
a test page.

All of a sudden her USB interfaces no longer work. They were working
about 3 weeks ago but she doesn't remember if she did anything (all

I have created a huge project to be run from a DL DVD-ROM.
I want to access everything directly from the drive, no installation.
Opening files and navigation is EXTREMELY slow even though
the vast majority of files are simple.

Once I finished putting my system together, I stuck my XP Pro CD and
proceeded with the installation.  But right away a menu came up asking
me what type of computer I have:
ACPI multiprocessor PC

was c: - the new one appears as F:

I'm having problems with my newly bought Xcraft RX-3HU USB2 enclosure.
I fitted a new Seagate 250GB Ultra ATA100 hard drive (ST 3250820A).
My system runs WinXP SP2 and the USB2 is integral to the motherboard.
On boot XP sees the drive fine.
