I seem to be in an endless loop after my clean install to XP. The Device Manager has no/no option for sound or game devices at all. And every time I try to install the (latest!) driver for my SoundBlaster Live! Value, all I get is the error:

I have two hard drives. I was using one for storage and the other to run WindowsXP. I received a "blue screen" error on the Windows drive and was unable to reboot without the error re-appearing. I then disconnected that drive and installed windows on the other drive with

I've read posts in various groups, mostly this one, suggesting that the above is possible, but I haven't cracked it yet. I have 1) Downloaded and run the XP driver package from Visioneer (which reports that it installs the driver, though it doesn't)

I have problems with my missing 'at' sign. All other keys seams to be working, what cam be wrong?? I am using a Dell D620 with an USB Digital Media Keyboard 1.0 attached. I don't remember when this problem first appeared but it is really annoying.
