I went out and bought a new Hard drive and cd/dvd drive for my computer
Once everything was set up and i installed XP on to my computer My soun
card doesn't work now and everything is set up the way it was before
Could it be that the sound blaster 16 sound card doesn't work wit

OS:  Windows XP SP2, All latest service packs and updates installed.
All of my USB ports are not detecting devices within windows.  There is
power to both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0, but plug-n-play will not detect the
devices.  I have tried everything from removing the usb controllers ...

I am working on a friends Emachines T2642.  It appears the motherboard is
shot.  I can get her a less expensive non-emachines motherboard.  
I'm not sure the CPU is good.  Replaced the Power Supply with a new one.  
Hard drive is good as I checked it out as a slave using another PC ...

Hi! My DVD drive was working properly. But suddenly when I was wathcing
a movie on DVD the movie stopped and the tray stucked. I couldn't open
the tray after that. Then I use safety-pin in the hole on the tray and

I am having great troubles in transferring the XP-Pro system disk to a
new bigger drive for the HP laptop of one of my associates. I am using
Ghost 2003 to clone the system drive to a 160 Gb Seagate drive that is
connected via USB2 during the cloning process.

i just got a new hard drive because my otherone crashed. I push a key when i
start the computer up and it says push any key to boot from cd. Well after i
push a key and it sould like it is about to boot from the cd the screen goes

I installed a third party software "AVS Media" to convert MPEG4 files to DivX
and burn to DVD's, but I get an error that says there is no DVD in slot. What
am I doing wrong?  Could it have anything to do with the fact that I already
have MyDVD on my computer?

I have kept trying with failing success to upgrade the ram on my PC to 4
gigs.  I was getting 3.5 but not the four that I want.  Now it has suddenly
dropped to 3.00 gigs.  
The motherboard supports and recognizes the 4 gigs, yet when I install 4 it

I am confused... currently I find my self doing more video editing of my

I know this may sound crazy but I have a XP Pro which always gives a
"Driver not signed" warning whenever I install a new hardware device.
I know this is normal for a lot of drivers in XP but I also get this
message when I install signed drivers (as per hardware manufacturer

I upgraded from 2G to 3G
MB has 2 512MB sticks and 2 1G sticks.
BIOS recognizes all 3G  in dual channel mode at boot.

how to go about.  Any help would be real appreciated.
