I thought I could share this as it has driven me completely bonkers.  I
have just upgraded from win 200 to xp pro SP2
All ok except windows refuses to see my usb drives either on memory
stick or phone both of which work fine on other machines etc.  I have

I have a DELL Inspiron laptop which now fails to start at all even if
the startup screen appears if I try to access the BIOS it hangs.  It
will startup in as much as the caps-lock button will flash but it gets
no further.

I am having troubles with my Pionner DVR-110D (latest firmware) and XP.
- Deepburner stops when writing with light on (no messages. Erase is OK)
- Roxio 6 stops when writing with lights off

single hard disk to a 2-disk Raid 1 (mirroring) configuration.  The

This might be a stupid question, but when I put a blank cd-r disc into my
drive, it is not recognised by the computer. The green light flashes a bit
and then message "put blank disc into Drive D" appears as though there is

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me format my partition. It

My Win XP machine will not boot.  The "XP starting" screen appears.
Then the machine reboots.  The cycle repeats indefinitely.  I changed
the jumper on the hard drive to Slave and put it into a working XP
machine as a secondary drive.  XP correctly recognizes the "faulty"

I have a strange problem. If I right click on the task bar and choose
task manager, it doesn't come up for about 5 minutes and then when it
