I have a strange problem that I have a hard time solving. It seems
Windows has entered a mode where it can only connect to my camera
through a USB hub, not directly without the hub.
1. I plug in my digital camera into my PC through a USB cable.

I got my dell laptop keyboard replaced yesterday. now I have this sound
every keystroke. i have tried everything on the control panel to turn off
this irritating sound. are there any other solutions

This is all about USB Vendor ID and Product ID. I am working USB mass
storage devices.
I have used msinfo32 to get the USB vendor ID and Product ID and some
strange numbers follow after the product ID.

I have just had to reload XP pro and although my 2nd HDD (40gb Seagate) Hard
drive is shown in the list of hardware as loaded properly and using a disk
check program from Seagate says everything is OK it is not shown when I go to
my computer.  It looks OK as wekk in the BIOS.
