I WENT TO CONTROL PANEL-DISPLAY-SETTINGS-ADVANCED-ADAPTER-PROPERTIES AND FOR
DEVICE USAGE I DROPPED DOWN TO DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE (DISABLE), WHEN I HIT
OK, MY COMPUTER RESTARTED, I CAN SEE IT GO THROUGH THE REGULAR BOOT UP
SCREENS, THEN THE WINDOWS LOGO, BUT AS SOON AS IT LOGS ...

   When I place a CD/DVD in my Drive, it is not beig recognized.  
That CD struggles sometime making some noise in the Drive and there
after it shows that D Drive is having  0 bytes.  I had deleted it from
the Device Manager and even after that it's creating the same

Would very much appreciate suggestions for specific PCI card with USB
capability.
Also, do these usually come with required cable and CD with drivers?
Are there other things I should know or consider?

I have a usb device that I'd like to control with a software that has only
the COM1 or COM2 options as ports.
