My understanding of IDE configuration is that you must have (assuming four
IDE devices) one jumpered to 'master' and one jumpered to 'slave' on each
chain.

I can no longer copy anything to my DVD and CDRW burners using windows.  They
have always worked fine.  I can copy things using nero.  When I try to use

Fan runs as if possessed.  CPU is not hot.  Blowing cool air.  Will spray
next week and remove all dust to see if that will remedy the situation.  If I
