I need buy new HDD, my MB is old enough and supports two IDE ports up to 4 ATAPI devices. Should I use only HDD that have EIDE interface? Can I use Samsung HD040GJ internal 3.5 SATAII 7200rpm 8MB cache model?

Hey, brand new to the forum, how you guys doing? Anyways, I have laptop, Dell 600C with Windows XP professional. When I start up th laptop, it goes through the Dell loading screen, then says "EDO Memory was detected in Socket 1, nearest the audio jacks.
