I have a e-machina computer and the dvd drive is LIte-on DVDRW SOHW-1633s.
A few days ago ,my dvd drive can not read cd/dvd or burn cd/dvd. My question
to the group is some thing wrong with the driver of xp

On / off switch broken
The on / off switch quit working.  Power cable in known good power outlet.
Plug the power cable in and the green light on the outside of the Power
Supply comes on.

i have an evo n600c notebook pc. its is over 7 years old. serveral hardware
components including the otherboard have somehow died and yet i have managed
to bring them back to life....lucky me. now the backlight on the lcd is not
working right. does anyone know how to fix that?

I have just bought an AMD 64 bit CPU,  motherboard and sATA drive with the
intention of transferring my current IDE drive (32 bit O/S) onto the new

I have just installed a new motherboard, new ram, new PCI-E card.
Everything works great.  My boot is a 80 gig maxtor IDE and my slave
is a 250Gig SATA drive.  Now, my last computer had the same setup and
my sata drive was recognized perfectly, this time - ASUS motherboard,

I installed a 160GB USB hard drive on my system and when it is on, my system slows to a c-r-a-w-l.  And usually when I plug in a USB memory stick everything slows down dramatically.  Internet page loads, etc.

A few days ago, I purchased a PNY 8800GTS graphics card. I installed
it in the normal way; Removed nvidia display drivers, inserted the

How To Solder?  The pins are bent.  Data Cable Motherboard Connector.  Can
it be replaced?  Or removed and resortered?
I removed and reconnected the DATA cable from the Motherboard to the 2
DVD-RW drives.

How much RAM chips are enough?
It takes a lot of RAM memory to run FTW ( Family Tree for Windows ). And for
online searches. Or to export or merge your FTW files.
I bought 2, one for a former resident of SBP and one for me.

I'm queen of the land of stupids - i popped off the "E" on my sony vaio
laptop and can't fix it. Local guys tell me to find a replacement
keyboard but can't find my model number online. Model # is VGN-FS920.
