I have gotten a code 41 for my Sony DVD RW DW G120A CDROM. This just happened two days ago when everything was working fine with it. I have tried going into the register and deleting the values, then uninstalling the device and then using the feature to look for new hardware.

I recently upgraded from an 80 gb drive to a 160 gb drive using the Maxtor Maxblast 4.0 software. This software does a hardware copy of boot sectors and all data to the replacement drive. 98% of everything works ok so far

For about 6 months or so the time between power up and the bios prompt seems to have been getting longer and longer and now is about 45 seconds. This happens with both power on and a restart. The screen is black for about 45 seconds, then a quick flash screen "IBM

Is it possible to add a video card to a laptop in the pcimia slot and add 2 monitors to the 2 outputs on the laptop(on the back and on the card)and have only 1 desktop display covering both monitors? I've never tried this so I'm at a loss as to how to do this if its possible.

I've got a new pc (Athlon64 x2 5200, Mainboard ASUS Crosshair nforce 590 SLI, 4x1GB ram, pcie GeForce 7900, and a pcie Promise 8350 raid controller). I realized using Process Explorer that IRQs consume constantly 40% of the CPU time.

My machine when booting up hangs(freezes) during the scrolling process of XP loading and shuts down. I do not see a BSOD. I was able to boot into safe mode and check the event viewer. The errors I saw said according to the Help and Support window that I need to replace the IDE ...

A few days ago, I added a and old slow disk drive to my XP PC, for backups. Since then I noticed that my PC is slower, and I can hear that old drive crunching. Is it my imagination? Is XP now using this drive for things? Thanks.

I made a small mistake (really stupid one) but I removed the partition for my Maxtor Basic Personal storage 3200. Does anyone know of some software that will recover the (1) partiton table and (2) files on the drive?

I bought a LifeCam NX-6000 and windows can not find appropriate drives to this camera (very strange since both are Microsoft). I have contacted Microsoft Support and it was recommended to “reinstall windows” which you know that takes a lot of time to do.

It's been a while since I've tried to use it. It is connected via firewirea. It comes up in the Device Manager but I don't see it in Windows Explorer. The following drives are all internal on my machine
