I have a gps program (from one vendor) that is looking for the gps unit via a com port and the gps unit (from a different vendor) that hooks up via usb port. Is there a way to map the usb port so it acts like a com port??

I just bought a new hard drive and the BIOS see it with no problem. When Windows Explorer is open, it does not assign it a drive letter. If I go to Disk Management, it shows up as UNALLOCATED. I believe this means that it is not partitioned or formatted.

My External Usb drive is working I can save music to it... but I cannot save my word documents to it. I know I probably sound dumb but I cannot figure it out. Can anyone help me please? I need to save my paper for class tomorrow.

This is about new Belkin 7 port hubs, but I have had the same problems with JASCO GE 7 port hubs. I there there something endemically wrong with USB hubs and WinXP Pro, or maybe Toshiba notebooks, even if years apart

I have an WinXP Home OEM on a AMD 1.8, and I changed my hard drive yesterday to a 250 g Seagate and reinstalled Windows but it installed itself on my only harddrive and called it F instead of C ... I have installed all my software but keep getting errors because of this
