Seems like i have two primary disk and two secondary, Been looking around

I might need to reformat my neighbour's HD, and re-install XP Home from CD.
I did this a few years ago with Windows 95 or 98. I seem to remember that I
needed a basic CD-ROM driver installed (was it ASUS?) in order to be able to
re-install XP from the CD. (Maybe I installed the CD ...

I have a problem to access some files on my hard disk.
Recently I did backup all my data from my old computer to my new one.
Unfortunately, when I try to do some operations (ie. copy,
rename, ...) to these files with "window explorer", most of time the

i have a second desk top that when i turn it on with the power button , it

The XP computer refuses to boot up occasionally when I have the graphics
card enabled (a GeForce 7300LE), but always boots up if it's deactivated.
I've updatd the drivers and this doesn't change matters. I've also removed
and reinstalled the card just in case there was a poor ...

Every time i boot my computer my date and time are wrong and i have to press
f1 to get the machine to boot up.  Ive changed the cmos battery but this only
worked for a few months. Can anyone help.

I apologize in advance for the non-expert's terminology.
I am thinking about changing the 80 GB HDD of my two-year-old notebook with
a Samsung 160 GB one (IDE). Do you think that Windows XP home edition (with
service pack 2) will support it, without the risk of losing data?

I don't know how or why ,but, according to information my CD-Rom drive and
device was removed from my system on 23rd March. And after using System
Restore ( can not restore system back to this date, or earlier) and attemting

Every time I boot up I get a message saying my computer clock is at the wrong
time , my virus programme needs updating and press f1 to boot up.  I replaced
the cmos battery a few months ago and I had no problems then I suddenly
started to get the same problem again.

I have formatted my laptop due to some 'issues'.
Since then I have updated Windows XP to SP2 and all the updates.
Everytime I plug in a USB device, it will work for a few minutes then the pc
will completely freeze up.

I have two hardware issues.
1) My Dell laptop is making a faint irregular fairly high pitched
beeping sound. It is coming from the back. It is not coming from the
