Hi all, was wondering if there is a way to change out my motherboard, and cpu
without doing a total reinstall of XP.  I know that a fresh install is always
the best way when making major hardware changes but, I am going to be doing
this with limited time and do not really want to ...

I have two hard drives one 40 GB and a 500GB.  When i go to open the big hard
drive, it will become non responsive and i cannot open any files in it.  I
have re booted the computer and it does not change anything.  I need some help

I've got an Asus P4S8X-MX motherboard with a 2.4 Ghz P4 CPU in it.
The bios and Windows picks it up as being type 2.4 Ghz and speed as 1600
Mhz.
Why is there a difference? I would have thought the speed would be matching

I have an external disk and PCPitstop says that there are 300 MB of junk files on it.
I have PC Pitstop Optimizer but it does not do the job on the external drive.
Suggestions?
