I replaced the cmos battery and having reset the time in a normal boot up, the time in the taskbar goes to 1:00 and then resets the hour wrong (1 or 2 hours slow). Any ideas?

I want to disconnect the hard drive of a new VISTA computer, install a new hard drive and install XP Home on it. I began this project in August but hubby became ill and I'm just now getting back to it. I realize I will need to install XP Drivers for the computer hardware;

My current Plextor recorder failed just like the previous ones! This is my third PX-760A, and I had one PX-716A before that, which also failed. I am bored from using the warranty services, every time they replace my recorder, it works a few months and then fails.
