I have a 500GB WD external drive that I have been using for about 6 months.  
This morning I got an error message "The file or directory is corrupted and
unreadable" and Explorer wouldn't recognize the name of the HDD.  I opened

It seems windows loses the numpad information if you have num lock on and
press <alt>+numpad6 for example, it just reports the key as <alt>+alt6
is there any way round this ?

I've a Compaq Evo 310 with xp pro sp2.
When requested, it goes into hibernation but suddently wakes up.
I suspect some ACPI issue, but don't know what to do.

I rebuilt XP and have a mountable image of the old drive and setup. I
had my Epson Printer setup with different profiles for different jobs
- I'm having a heck of a time trying to re-create them.
Is there a way to get them from the old drive/image?

When I turn the computer on it loads only until the WinXP Logo screen
