I recently installed 4 gig of pc2 5300 RAM on a new hp desktop. Windows xp will only recognize 3.5 gig of the ram. I read some where that windows xp by default will only recognize 3.5 gig of ram. Is there a fix for this - where windows will recognize ALL the ram installed on a pc. ...

how do i login as administrator without a key board. device manager reports "cannot load driver for this hardware because previous instance of the driver is still in memory (code 38). any idea on how i can solve the prolems. tia

I'm having a lot of problems with my pc now. Right now, it keeps blue screening when it boots into windows. I've tried reinstalling windows, but it says setup cannot copy the file:xxx. I've read about this and it points to memory errors. I've swapped out the memory once

Running xp home with a ps2 mouse on windows drivers. On first boot mouse has no function. cursor will not move from center of screen. Then I do a restart from the close window and when restarted the mouse works fine the rest of the day.

A HD Tune utility says my hard drive can support UDMA MODE 6, but UDMA MODE 5 is currently active. Is there anyway I can enable UDMA MODE 6 ? Would the UDMA MODE 6 mode make my computer run better? Thanks !

I have a Gigabyte GA-81915P Duo (Pro) motherboard with P4 3.2; 1gb RAM; 2 x 160gb HDs. I currently have 2 SATA hard drives in a Raid 0 array. These are handled by the onboard Intel ICH6R chipset. The OS is WinXP pro.
