I'm not sure if the issue that follows is a function of Nero having been
installed or not.  Well, let me explain this perplexing issue and get some
direction.
The OS does not recognize a DVD+RW with regards to writing.  I can view the

I am tearing my hair out.  I am trying to fix my French brother in laws home
PC running XP Home (French) all up to date.  I tried all the registry items
listed on an MS page, no good.  I have tried all the usual settings to no
avail.  TweakXP etc.

but when I try the symantec ctrl F11 combination it says it canno
restore.  I don't have a recovery disk and my pc was supplied wit
windows already installed so I have no windows disk please help me...

I just installed a Seagate Barracuda  7200.7   100GB hard drive, IDE, into
my 1.7 GB Intel computer,(XP Home w/ SP2) as a secondary drive. It only
shows up as a 30 GB drive.  Md# ST3100011A?

The system picks up my new network card but when I try to run its driver, it
cannot install the driver through the Found New Hardware wizard, even though

Suddenly my Pioneer DVR 108 writer does not recognize DVD+RW and CD-RW discs
anymore.(prompt: this disk is unerasable).This happens in Nero, Power
producer and Studio. Installed a extern Liteon CD writer, same result.

When I boot up I have system set to boot from SATA drive.

I installed 4 x 1GB of memory on my system and when I run the sound recorder
I get an out of memory error. If I use 2 x 1GB of memory, it works fine.
Is XP compatible with 4GB of memory?

drive? I am using Ghost 2003 right now and love it, but

I just installed the latest Intellipoint drivers for this setup and it has a
feature I have never seen before.  It can magnify a box that is controlled
by the cursor. In other words, when it is active, you can move around the
screen and change the area that is being magnified.

Aaargh, I've done it this time !
I have a C: drive and two IDE drives which are mirrored with a
hardware RAID controller.
The mirroed drives hold data that I don't want lost in a drive crash,
