Not recognizing the recording part of my dvd/cd drive16 Feb 2008 19:09 GMT1
I posted earlier about my drive not seeing blank cd's. I've switched the old
and new out and back and I get no recording tab in my properties dialog box.
I'm at a loss to what the problem is. Can any body help?

I bought a new Dell computer it has no Parallel port.  I checked with Dell
they use an add-on card in their slim line PCs.   I added the card, it is PnP
and it selected the Base I/O address to run LPT1.

My Emprex 16x burner all of a sudden stopped recognizing blank cd's or dvd's
when i tried to burn something. Thinking the burner was badI installed a HP
20x Lightscribe. Now I don't even get an option to burn a cd or dvd. If I try
with the copy option, I get E:\ is not accessible ...

My PC has 2 x 512MB DIMMs. To be precise, they are Crucial CT6464Z335. The
motherboard is an Asus P4S333 running Award BIOS revision 1007C, which is the
most recent. SDRAM configuration is set to [By SPD]. Under normal day-to-day
use, my PC is operating without any problems.

I am setting up several touchscreen systems that have a magnetic card reader
that plugs into the PS2 keyboard port. If XP doesn't see a keyboard,it it
disables the port and doesn't load the drivers. It has a pigtail to then plug
in a keyboard bit I'd prefer not to have a keyboard ...

I have a P4 630  CPU-3.0 processer with a 800FSB.  My motherboard is an Asus
P5GD2-X that supports momory 600/533/400MHz DDR2.  I have this program
CPU-Z.  It tells me info. about the memory in my system.  In the timings
table there are three tables under two of the memory sticks ...

I had a couple of sticky keys on my Compaq laptop.  As I started to go
for a bottle of 409 cleaner I got the usual look of doubt from my
husband.  (This time he was right but that is only in hindsight. ) He
poopoos most of my ideas out of the gate and then I almost always

I'm looking for an 88-key keyboard, wired, with the kind of keys that come on a regular el-cheapo keyboard.  Not the flat-one
like on a laptop.  I want the keys to be the same size and spacing as on a regular old fashioned keyboard, too.

My COMPAQ Presario V4004AP can not access a digital camera or a mass
Storage Device (Card Reader) via any of the USB ports.
The PC (XP Pro) has four USB ports and I have tried the USB mouse in each of
