when using an external hard drive (usb) does the information you put into it go through your PC's hard drive also??? can it be retrieved from you PC's hard drive once the external hard drive is removed??? thanks for any info

My PC won't go into standby or hibernate on its own after a preset time. I still can manually bring the PC into standby/hibernate without any problem. Don't know where to start to fix this problem, hopefully someone can help me

I have 2 dvd drives in my machine, a Lite-on and a Philips. Both are dvd rw +/- However when I insert a Packard Bell DVD-RW disc both drives show in Explorer as cd drives and when I try to save a file to either of them I get a message saying please insert cdrom. Any one any ideas ...

The other day i was upating various drivers and accidently uninstalled my network driver, now (for some reason) windows cannot even see this hardware in device manger. I cant seem reinstall drivers for this divce. Is there anyway to force seeing certian types of hardware ?
