I have an XP Pro PC with two DVD drives a Sony and a LG DL.
Both were working fine a couple of weeks ago, last night when I tried to
burn a DVD Nero would not see either as a DVD drive, only CD drives, I tried
uninstalling Nero and reinstalling but that did not help.

I uninstalled & reinstalled my USB ports/hub to try to solve a stop
error now WinXP won't run my usb mouse.  I plug it in & the Found New
Hardware Wizard pops up, but then it says it can't find the driver.  
I've tried different mice with the same result.  Right now I'm using my

I have a card reader on my Windows XP PC which, amongst others, takes the

cards from my camera.   I used to be able to insert the card, select in the
Autoplay window to see a slideshow of the pictures, click OK and the

My epson laser printer is connected to a spare port on my netgear
router.
The laser is there as the local ip address comes up when I checkout
the router. I can ping that local  ip address and its Ok.

I need to get into Dos mode in order to delete a file which is blocking
SafeMode to run.
Safemode starts loading but stops at a particular file and then can't get

I've been looking for an answer for awhile now & can't seem to find
one.  Almost daily I get a Stop: 0X000000D1 error with
USBPORT.sys-Address F6E7A2B5.  I'm pretty sure it's a driver error cause
it starts with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.  I've seen messages here

XP runs fine with 2 Gig of DDR3 mem installed.  MoBo is DX38BT, cpu is Cr2D
E8400 3GHz.  When i add 2nd set of CD3X1024-1800C7D mem sticks for a total of
4 gig system bios sees it, but XP hangs on boot up at:
"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\Mup.sys"  ...

The "Found New hardware Wizard" keeps popping up!!! It is looking for some
"PCI Device" and can't never find it. Tried tips offered by [2. It does not
find the drives] in an old message but no help.
the problem is I don't know what it is looking for.

I need to find out why I  cannot find a compatible device for my computer.
My computer is a Sharp Actius AL 27.I have already went to their site and
downloaded one that was supposed to be right.It did not let me install. Said
it was not right for my computer or something to that ...

I have a laptop which was runnning Windows 2000 and I'm trying to
install Windows XP on it. I did manage to get it on but I must have
made some mistake somewhere as on startup it was giving me the option
to boot into either XP or Windows 2000.
