I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro laptop. When I switch it on fan starts then stops and nothing happens its like switching itself off the green light is on but will not show anything. Any ideas where I should start to look for the problem.

recently I had to replace the LCD monitor which is connected to my laptop (Sony VAIO) via a dockingstation. Although cable is connected (confirmed by the monitor status), the VAIO fails to switch over to LCD with Fn+F7.

I saw this Dell PC on Tesco Direct, for the price I thought the specs were very good. I sent the page to my friend, who said it is good for the price, but the low processor bus means that the computer wont be as fast as I think.

I recently broke a 1.8 HDD on my notebook computer and lost all data on the HDD. I just got repaired from the supplier and would like to create a backup HDD in case of same issue in the future. Can someone advise me how to accomplish this task.

My connect, disconnect, and failed to connect wave files do not sound when inserting and removing hardware from my USB slot. I am able to play the files manually in the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window. All of my other program events work just fine. Any solutions

Having lots of problems with USB ports. They refuse to work. Want to try to uninstall them in safe mode, then re-boot to see if XP (pro, SP2) will install them correctly. This was suggested in a posting about a year ago by MowGreen.
