Have been using XP Pro with an AsRock ConroeXFire-eSata2 mobo and two sata
HDDs and it' s been nice and stable.
Now trying to add a third SATA drive but although the BIOS sees the third
drive it doesn't show in XP (neither an icon in my computer nor in Disk

I have installed power color R98E-SD3 with all the power connected to the
card & disk power cable  but  will not boot. when the card is removed ,
reboot ok. any idea  . thanks

I have some major copies to make of all my photo and mail files ..... My
question is can I do the job on CD or DVD disks ?   And what is the
difference in the procedure ?

Recently, I bought a DVD drive that was SATA oriented. However, m
system's motherboard is PATA oriented, and the PATA connectors can'
connect to the SATA slots on the back of my new DVD drive.

Ok, I have everything installed and I'm about to fire up the system. I'm

I was about to post here with my problem when I stumbled over a solution.
I have a recent upgrade from 2KPro to XPpro and I've been installing and
uninstalling right and left for days, so I don't know what caused it but
suddenly I couldn't see my CD/DVD.

Can someone suggest why my dvd/cd will not recognize any type of disc since I
upgraded to the sp3 service pack? The driver and hardware say they are
running fine but the player will not read any type of disc.

a few days ago my comp started to spontaneously restart. the
technician replaced the motherboard and the power supply, and had to
reinstall windows because of the new board.
i have two hard drives in the box, both hitachi IDE 80GB, one as the

I recently installed a dual booting system with ubuntu and xp sp2....   but
after I installed Rising Antivirus xp give me a stop 0x7F (0x0D)  error...  
I don't know why....safe mode works for me and i installed the latest video
