Dumb question...I know nothing about computers...how do I tell if my drive
can read DVDs or if its only capable of reading CD's?  Under properties, it
says SONY CD-RW CRX216E and under 'type of disk drive' it says DVD/CD-ROM.  
When I put a CD (audio, video, pics) it reads...when ...

Running XP Home Edition with all SP's and updates current. My current HD is
a WD 250GB unit, interface is SATA-II; that has started to "squeak" on
startup or awakening. Just a quick squeak like an automobile's fan belt that
is slipping somewhat.  Is this something to worry about? ...

Hi all, I have a dell LCD monitor that is not all that old, whenever the pc
is in standby mode or the pc is turned off, the monitor will start to change
colour about every 4 seconds.

I have a dell dimension 3100 pc and I need to restore it to originalit
but when I try the symantec ctrl F11 combination it says it canno
restore.  I don't have a recovery disk and my pc was supplied wit
windows already installed so I have no windows disk please help me...
