Ok, I have asked a similar question before. But my system can apparently take
4 1Mb Ram sticks in 4 slots. I know they are suppose to go in pairs.
What happens if I put in 2mb pieces? I know that XP 32-bit has a limit of

Hi. I have learned that a person is able to dedicate a certain amount of RAM
to their video/graphics card.
In 32-bit XP and Vista, there is the apparent 4Gb limit on the RAM that is
recognized (or allocated?).

Out of the blue, the optical drive cannot read the cd/dvd.When I power on the
pc, it does detect the device as shown in 'my computer" but whenI insert a
cd/dvd, it will not read it.

This is a friends computer, her cd & DVD does not show under device manager.
Lite on ltn4865 adn samsung cdrw/dvd sm-352-f.
The drivers install alright, but says can not find the hardware device.

Hello Everyone...
I have a gateway tower.  The computer was running but when I restart it, it

Well Paul had nextday delivery of my Geforce 6200 from Novatec and fitted
this morning,instead of using supplied disc I disabled old driver for
previous Nvidia and let Widows search, which it did find ok Picture now fine

I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop with Windows XP MCE 2005 running.
Recently I had to to do an in-place upgrade as I was getting BSOD on trying
to enter safe mode. Everything went on fine without a glitch.
But now I do see a performance hit on my laptop's performance. It takes

flashdrive which works in the laptop. It worked at first in the pc, where I
used it to back up files. Butt now I get an error message saying that Windows
does not recognise the device. What can I do? Any advice ...
