I have XP Home installed on my desktop with the sp1 upgrade and all
available updates have been done .
I have a D-Link router model DI-704P with the latest firmware update from
May 2003 (V2.73).

Using MSN 6 with WinXP.  Never can seem to get any of the fancy features
working due to routers on either end of the connection.  Are there standard
ports that need to be opened manually on the router/hub for both sides of
the connection.  What are they for such things as:

I am having problems sending and receiving files using

I keep turning of sound alert for when people sign in.  
Actually the only sounds I leave on is when I get an IM,

How can I disable Instant Messaging on Windows XP. I am

not to come on .it  all works fine but it will not show

I have windows messenger 4.7 and it keeps on being very
slow, tacky and keeps on freezing often. I have Windows
xp home edition and messenger came with it. If someone

I installed DriverStudio 2.7 from Numega on WinXP and had
no problems, till i've installed MSN 6. Windows XP keeps
giving BSOD whenever i try to load SoftIce with it. Any
help please?

hi, when i got my computer (windows Xp) i didnt have to
download Msn messenger is was already on my programs but
it was called Windows Messenger!! now i tried to download
Msn 6.0 but when i do it says "You do not have permission

I have the problem everytime I set someone up on MSN Messenger.  Why does it
take so long for Microsoft to send you the verfication email?  Days?  When I
do get one then it did not have the link to authorize the user on the email
message last night???
