unable to install MSN v6 I get message "Setup has failed
with error code '1601'.Please go to msn website & download
the software from there." Did that and got same error
message.any ideas or help appreciated

Why has miscrosoft developed MSN Messenger and Windows messenger. Surely
there should only be 1 messenger program.

Go online, start OE and Messenger starts (as per normal) which then pops up
the "New version ..." on taskbar at which time one clicks on the link which
throws up a dialog box asking "Yes/No" to install new Messenger with a
"What's New" button which when clicked takes you to ...

Reading thru the posts, I dont seem to be alone in

I am trying to change the primary user on my messenger
service, but have not been able to do so.  Any

Here lately, past week, my girlfriends computer wont let
here get on msn messenger or check her hotmail.  she has
a mac, but it used to work fine. did microsoft do
something to stop mac users from getting on there? any
