Why did I get a Hotmail Account26 Aug 2003 23:46 GMT4
I wanted to set up as a .net passport to use messenger. I went through the
installation wizard, and it gave me a Hotmail account. It prompted me with
my e-mail address already with @hotmail already there. It is now bombarding
me with e-mails to say  I have not completed the set up ...

I installed a Logitech QuickCam Messenger web cam. It
seems MSN Messenger 6.0 can't capture the video. I can
see the other end's picture, but they ( myself too)can
only see a black picture.

I'm using SBC DSL internet connection. I have a

Messenger 5.0 based on a recent Microsoft security EMAIL. With Messenger
4.7, I would get notifications of new messages arriving in my Hotmail

My wife downloaded MSN Messenger 6.  The problem is that
this did not overwrite Windows Messenger 4.7, with the
consequence that both start running and try to log me on,
resulting in "You have been logged out.." messages.

stuck with their sign in names in the drop down list.Is

i have to enter my email address and password evrytime i
i just read one message. this is really getting crazy. i
have used these things for over 2 yrs. never had a
problem. now they took my email address and password away

Thanks for the help.  Just one more question.  After
unchecking the 'check for server certificate revocation' I
can sign in automatically, but I would like to know if
there is a way to get around this without disabling this

I am also having a problem removing Windows Messenger.
I have revoed the start-up at logon option and uninstalled
it, but it still logs me on when I am running Outlook
Express or Explorer.

I am running Windows Messenger 4.7 (4.7.2009) on XP Pro
and find myself unable to send or receive files sent
through messenger.  The error message essentially states
that sending/receiving is blocked, but I do not believe

Can someone please remind me what to do to make it a
necessity to use a password to start up messenger,
instead of it logging on automatically without a
password? i have XP and used to know how to do it, but
