Back in spring, there was a problem with the latest versions of Windows
Messenger and DirectX running on the same (XP) machine.  As a result, I
had to revert back to Messenger 4.7 and DirectX8.1, which work together
well.

I recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro on my computer and
it installed Windows Messenger 4.7 by default. I decided
to download the email notification add-in and Windows
Messenger 5.0 before actually setting up my account to use

We use Windows Messenger 4.7 as an Exchange IM client.  One of our users has
a problem where he can send IM just fine, but cannot receive IM from anyone.
He does NOT have anyone blocked in his BLOCKED USERs list.
Also, this happens whether he is signed on to IM on his PC or any ...

I have MSN messenger 6 installed, but windows messenger
keeps insisting on loading up and logging in. I have
