without asking for a password even though I have checked

So I had to "bite the bullet" and reformat my C: drive ...absolutely
everything is now working fine except the voice feature in Messenger 4.7.
Individuals called can hear me.... but for some reason , I can't hear them.
All settings are the same as before. Any solutions ?  :(

I now run MSN Messenger. So I decided to uninstall WinXP Messenger

I've been struggling for the last week trying to get
Windows Messengers Audi/Video functions to work. I'm
running Windows XP Pro, hard-wired into a Linksys WRT54G
router (latest firmware upgrade) using Messenger v5.0.

All I do is start Adobe Acrobat and up comes the installer and Messenger 5
is installed. Never fails. Just try and stop it;)

netwrok setting. I have a cable modem and netgear MR814
router. I updated the firmware to the latest, Enabled the
ports that is used by windows messenger, and Upnp is
