i don't use messenger; i don't want to use messenger, but
now they have a popup window about a new version being
available; "would you like to do this now?"   and when
you click "No" loud and clear, it somehow recycles and

please, if anyone can help. I want to turn off, remove,
delete, anything that would stop the annoying popups. If
you know how to get rid of this program please let me
know.

I have carefully disabled the Messenger program as instructed (Ctrl
Panel --> Admin. Tools --> Services --> Messenger --> Properties:
Startup disabled and Service stopped) but my firewall (Zone Alarm)
still reports blocking near-continuous attempts by the Messenger

I have a few questions regarding MSN Messenger 6.0 ... Which doesn't
seem to have its own NB. Maybe you guys can help.
1) The new version has a "Save" feature for chats. When saving a chat,
a dialog box says that formatting will be preserved, but the resulting
