I have done the suggested things to stop Windows
Messenger from starting up, but this has not worked.
I uncheched the start with windows box, I also went into
control panel, add/remove windows, and unchecked

by means of a red or green icon in the contacts pane. Is

installing on my comp. what happened was that half way
thro the process there was a prompt telling me which of my
software wouldnt work after installing xp.since the list

Every time I log on I get the "messenger service" tab on
the taskbar. It is always an advertisement which if you
click to exit you get another advertisement. There is no

Every 2 minutes messenger is trying to access the
Internet.  It dosent matter what program I am in or if I
am on the internet.  It even does it when The computer is
Idle.  It is slowing down my computer.  How do I stop it?

Before msnmsgr 6.0, we were able to do the voice without
any problems behind the router...
Now after we upgraded to 6.0, I've updated firmware
version to the latest...it definitely is UPnP enabled...
