I checked my wifes auto. log on box, Now I want to
uncheck it because it has been causing some problems when
down loading. Like close all internet explorer runnings.

I'm heartily fed up with messenger. i didn't want it,
didn't enable it, get constant popups about updates, and
have a spinning list of spam porn names whenever I use
email. None of which bloody Gates seems interested in

I was recently having problems with the voice on Messenger v4.7.  To those
who follow this NG, I'm sure you saw "that" post.  Well, that problem
disappeared after 4 days the same way it had appeared - with no explanation.
But, I was still looking for anyone else who had this problem ...

Have just downloaded MSN6 and its great, but it launches
automatically on startup. How can I defuse this so it
only launches when prompted?

I recently got windows XP and a cable ISP.  Not sure how
to set up for windows messenger.  I already set up my
microsoft passport.  Any advice on what I need to do
