Since I could not find this on the site nor in FAQ's,
hopefully someone has done this before.  My hard drive
took the big crash last week.  I have since installed a
new hard drive and want to re-establish my Windows

program lets me sign in, but after a second the programs

In previous versions of messenger, I would receive pop-up notifications of
my contacts coming online...in 6.0 I never receive the popups.....  How do I

Hi: In order to stop the "Messenger Service" from being
used by spammers we are able to disable it. It is part of
Windows so I was wondering if there is a positive purpose
to having "Messenger Service" enabled? Does it work

I downloaded and installed MSN 6.0 Messenger, and set Windows messenger NOT
to load with windows. Unfortunately, MSN Messenger won't auto login. I set
the preferences to do it, but it doesn't. Any fix for this?

If I attempt to send files to a friend who also uses windows xp , he accepts
them but I get an error message saying that the message was blocked by a
firewall  how does one configure a firewall to accept messages

I don't know if it has anything to do w/ it but i
installed msn messanger 6.0 and now my search websites
won't access. The page not available screen appears. All
other websites work fine.Is there anything i can do?
