I CANNOT, WINDOWS XP WON'T ALLOW ME TO REMOVE YAHOO IM OR
AOL IM OR BELLSOUTH IM OR MSN IM! WHAT IS THE DEAL? HOW
CAN I GET THE "REMOVE" PROGRAM TO ACTUALLY REMOVE THEM?

Running WIN2K with latest updates/service packs installed.
A month ago I tried to install MSN Messenger 6 which subsequently destroyed
my user profile, after reloading my backup I have continued with MSN
Messenger 5 - no problems.

I have Windows XP and MSN Instant Messenger on my
computer.  I recently downloaded Windows Messenger 6.0.  
My friend in Canada has Windows 98 and MSN Instant
Messenger on his.  

I will be gone for a month and will no have access to the
internet.  Need help in how do I go by setting my e-mail
to answer automatically in a short way that I will be
gone so that may contact are awared.

I wonder why the Windows Messenger lacks the  possibilty to send
messages to contcats currently beeing offline. We use Windows Messenger
with Exchange 2000. Messages could be stored there until the contacts
gets online...

Despite the subject my problem is Windows Messenger related... We use
for internal communication Windows Messenger with Exchange 2000 Server.
Unfortunately not all employees use Windows and we don't know any linux
messenger that is able to communicate with Exchange 2000. But ...

I am running XP Pro behind a netgear dg824m wireless
router - my friend is running Windows ME - and we both
have msn messenger 6.0.  I have enabled UnPNP on the
router - so we can use instant chat and audio.  However

Why should i not totally uninstall messenger 4.7? I
installed it but never use it and dont want to use it.  
What other applications share windows messenger as this
has scared me off from uninstalling it?

I have unintentionally downloaded Windows Messenger and
it is in my startup menu.  I have gone thru the
Adminstrative tools option and clicked the disable option
and it still appears in my starup menu.  How can I

I can send files, see video, use RemoteDesktop, but I don't have voice...

When I connect to someone using voice chat, I can hear them OK for the first
5 seconds or so, and then their signal just breaks up and all I get is
static. Has anyone run into this and/or know how to fix it? They can hear me
fine the whole time, but I can't hear them.

I once again ask, why my ZoneAlarm Firewall recognizes the dynamic ports
used by Messenger for media streams.
I expected, that ZoneAlarm Friewall blocks this kind of UDP traffic. But
