I was originally running 2k, but now on XP.  I never
could get an audio conversation to connect.  I could
briefly hear the other person if I initiated the convo,

webcam with my daughter running MSN Messenger 6.1 on Windows ME? Or can we
just have audio?

an hour ago I had to download the "New Messenger". After installation I could not log in anymore! At the same moment I am clicking to connect, there is a window appearing.. :

I would like to know how to use Windows Messenger under my
name and not my husbands.  My efforts have failed to

I never reived an e-mail to verify my ststus when settinp
up my account. Now my status always says (e-mail not
verified). How do I correct?

My Messenger 6.1 icon is one black square in the system tray.  If I "mouse
over" it says I'm not logged in, but when I double click it, Messenger comes
up and I am indeed logged in.
Anyone know what is wrong and how I can get the icon to work?

My sister and I each have MSN Messenger and she has told her machine that
she wants her name to be Displayed on my machine.  On my machine her name is
not displayed but her email address is.  She is using XP and I am using
98SE.  It worked fine for a few days but now it doesn't.  ...

I am a new XP user........ as of yesterday!! I have noticed that every now
and again when I start up Messenger asks me to install a new version when
the version I have is the same.
What can I do to ensure I install the correct version and not be troubled by

Messenger 4.6 used to open my hotmail inbox from its
menu.  Messenger 5.0 does not seem to have that same
functionality.  Is this functionality now gone?

I downloaded a few windows updates yesterday (nothing to
do with messenger)and since then when messenger starts up
ALL my contacts status icons show the 'green' online
status for all contacts including all the ones who are
