I'm hoping someone can help me with this.
It seems odd that MSN Messenger and Window's Messenger are different
programs. Why didn't MS just upgrade Window's Messenger?
Either way, is it possible to permanently disable Window's Messenger, and

I can not sign in to Messenger. I have a .NET Passport. I have logged into Passport successfully. I also checked the .NET Service status and returned "All systems are stable and running." Nor am I using an Internet Connection Firewall. Any ideas?

Everyone is having the same problem.....what's the common element?  Could it be Microsoft just doesn't want to admit a problem?  I had no problems at work but at home there is no messenger.  I tried all the little tricks and fixes that the "expert" Jonathan Kay MVP from Microsoft ...
