When I sign in to MSN Messenger, it tells me how many new e-mails I have in my Hotmail account like it's supposed to. However, after I read those new messages, Messenger still says I have the same number of new e-mails to read - the number doesn't go back ...

I installed the last version of the MSN messanger. I
thought that the new version would uninstall the older
one, which was in my laptop.  Unfortunatelly, that didn't
happen and now I have 2 different versions of Messanger

when i try to install dot net framework or MSN Messenger (either from
Windows Update or redistributible package).
is there a way to "REPAIR" Windows Installer ?

I know I need to use a router that supports UPnP, but
does UPnP need to be installed/enabled on the PCs
connected to the router for Messenger audio/video to work?

I recently installed MSN Messenger 6.1 (I already had
Windows messenger 5.0 on my machine - Mistake!) and then
realized I had two. I uninstalled both and then re-

Can somebody help me.  I've turned off my firewall like most of you said to do and I stll can't send files or use the audio/video on Windows messenger.  I have DSL modem going to a Linksys router to two computers and it won't work.  Running a fresh install of Windows XP.
