When I sign in to MSN Messenger, it tells me how many new e-mails I have in my Hotmail account like it's supposed to. However, after I read those new messages, Messenger still says I have the same number of new e-mails to read - the number doesn't go back ...

I installed the last version of the MSN messanger. I
thought that the new version would uninstall the older
one, which was in my laptop.  Unfortunatelly, that didn't
happen and now I have 2 different versions of Messanger

Can somebody help me.  I've turned off my firewall like most of you said to do and I stll can't send files or use the audio/video on Windows messenger.  I have DSL modem going to a Linksys router to two computers and it won't work.  Running a fresh install of Windows XP.

Some of my contacts appear with their name, fine. But most of the contacts
are listed with their email adress which sometimes are long and cryptic. Is
