very time I try to sign into messenger an error appears telling me that:

when I first got my computer it diplayed the profile pictures of others in within the messaging screen.  Now the pictures do  not appear and it looks like the old messenger.  Any ideas what happened or how to fix it?!?!?!?
Also my messenger signs in automatically.  I would prefer ...
