Every time I load up messenger it tells me I need to verify my email address. However, I set up my .net passport ages ago, before I got messenger, and deleted the email that I need to use to verify the address.

All of a sudden a box pops up on the screen stating that the messenger has encountered a problem and will shut down. The error report is sent to Microsoft who says they do not have a fix but try downloading version 4.7.
