I am user that needs to read Japanese & Chinese. I have
just recently bought my computer, and under Regional and
Language Options ---> Languages ---> Details, I have added
the several languages I need to read and use. However,

How can I stop the msmsgs.exe process from automatically

When asking for remote assistance, my Messenger 6.1 gives
me an error that says I need to update to the latest
version of messenger to receive assistance.  An HTML link
is provided, that links me to a download for V4.7.

I installed the XP SP2 beta on my main XP Pro (Retail) machine.  When I
click e-mail in Messenger, Outlook Express opens instead of my Hotmail
account.

I downloaded a new version of messenger 6.1, thinking
that it would update or remove 4.7.  Now my computer
automatically selects 4.7.  I have to sign off and then
sign in with 6.1...How do i get rid of 4.7?  any takers?

My friend used Messenger to send me a Rem Assistance but I automtaically
have it denied and it says upgrade to latest version of Msngr. I then
click on the link and ut show 4.7.
How do I fix this situation.

I am running msn messenger 6.1 on a win Xp Pro machine. I
would like to be able to run several msn sessions with
different e-mail accounts. The only patches i can find
are for older versions of messenger.

Does anybody know if there is a way to:
* disable the automatic mic volume adjustment in messenger?
There is no Automatic Gain Control enabled in the Sound Control
Settings.

The audio wizard shows that the microphone and speakers are configured
correctly.
Audio is recorded correctly using the sound recorder.
The microphone works correctly with all other programs, and seems to show

Is there a registry setting that we can use to keep msn
messenger from staying open when the close button is
selected?  When someone clicks the 'x' to close it, I'd
like Messenger to exit and not stay loaded in the systray
