Many times went I boot a prompt appears on my desktop asking if I want an upgraded version of Windows Messenger. How can I get rid of this? I've already unchecked WM in add/remove Windows Components.

i have been using ICQ for several years now. about two years ago i was introduced to Windows Messenger while moving to WinXP. later on i moved to MSN but there are few things that apear in ICQ but not in MSN and it makes using MSN quite not worthy.

My MSN Messenger6.1 shows "audio/video config cannot run now" when I try to use web cam. But I can receive video signal from others. And I don't meet this problem while I'm using messenger4.7 The system on my computer is XP pro without sp1, and it is a simplified_Chinese edition.
