I set up a hotmail account for my wife so she can IM me at work. I try and log into any Messenger and it gives me the service status error with her account, but I can sign in fine with mine. I can log into her hotmail inbox

After installing a westell modem "Ethernet" Windows messenger would not work. I went back to "launchmodem" and enabled remote access and it worked, but I noticed it said after 20 min. inactivity or reboot remote access would be disabled. Does remote access need to be enabled

I had this problem long ago and cured it by downloading a later version of Messenger. But now I've got it again. At bootup Messenger takes a long time to load, delaying Outlook till it does. It's not life or death but it's annoying.
