I had MSN Messenger 6.1 (which was working just fine) and
I saw 6.2 being advertised.  So I d/l it and installed
it.  Now I cannot log on, complaining that there's
something wrong with my internet connection, when in fact

Its fine on the server thats connected to the net.  Tried
the steps that have been posted on here mulitple times.  
Can't get onto hotmail either.  All the SSL boxes are
checked etc.

clean re-installs, upgrading before initial sign in, and

I have a shared connection behind an ADSL modem/router,
UPnP enabled (speedtouch 510, firmware 4.2. -latest one-)  
and then an Asus WL-500 router (The modem only has one
output, so I installed the Router to provided multiple PC

Im having the hardest time logging into msn messenger.
It's after I changed my .net passport password for
security.
It says that my password or user name isnt recognised.

Installed MSN Messenger. I have XP, daughter has XP. We

I changed my display name and when someone added it to
their list, it still shows my old display name. Any ideas

I had previously saved the msn history, but since my we have reformatted the computer and downloaded messenger again I don't have the option under "Options". Is this because msn 7 doesn't have it or it is somewhere else

OK, firstly I have checked through a LOT of subjects to make sure that there isnt already a solution to my problem. Here it is
I CANNOT find a way to stop msmsgs.exe from running WHENEVER I start Outlook Express.
This is what I have already done to solve this
