i have got windows messenger and it wont work with my
webcam. i use msn messenger as well and it works fine on
that but not on windows messenger anybody got any tips on

I'm using XP home and MSN messenger 6.2
A friend of mine is connected threw a proxy server and I
we can only use reguler chatting without Audio, and file
transfer.

I upgraded to zone alarm 4.5.594 and now my windows messenger 4.7 audio
conversation will not work. If I shut off ZA voice works ok
On the previous version of ZA also 4.xxx Voice would work by adding an ip
address to the trusted zone for the person I wanted to talk to and by adding

 I have tried several times to install  6.1 when the application starts it
just freezes I can not click any contact. I have followed all newsgroup
suggestions to get it working. All i get for the error log is apphung.

My desktop and start up menu does not show up on my computer. I can not access any of my programs from my start up bar. I can only access them from task manager. Does anyone know how to solve this problem

My new computer apparently came with 4.7 windows
messenger.  However it did not upgrade to the new 6.2
version so I downloaded that separately and now cannot
remove the 4.7 version.  Everytime I log into 6.2 I'm

Although I and my mates do have the latest version of  MSN Messenger ( 6.2 )
, the "Remote Desktop" option does not work. It just prints out a message
saying update to the latest version. I also had this with 6.1.  It?s the
same with whiteboard.

    Why can't I close the Windows Messenger 4.7 from the
System Tray even though it is linked to Windows XP and/or
other file(s) that is/are using files connected to it?

I know this question has probably been asked thousands of
times but never the less I need to download java from Sun
microsystems and really do not know exactly which file I
need....Running win xp home with sp1a...although computer

I have disabled messenger by doing the 'RunDll32
advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove' method. But
now I would like to use messenger. I have downloaded and reinstalled it on
my computer, but it still won't work. Is there something else I should do?

I've just installed XP and as soon as connect to the web
I get unwanted Messanger alerts.  Most of them are
totally unsuitable for my kids.  I thought Messanger only
worked within your personal contacts.

When I connect at home using my wireless card my MSN goes
crazy. It signs in and off alone, and many times people
write to me and I do not get all the messages. I
