I have now have messenger 6.1 installed but can't uninstall 4.1. I have tried removing 4.1 using the windows add/remove windows components, but it still stays there. i keep getting signed out on my own computer.

Just noticed that MSN Messenger icons that are normally on the left side are missing. When did this happen or is it just me? I just redownloaded and Repaired and still missing. Joel

How do I disable messenger on start up? I have tried all the normal ways, through control panel etc. but messenger doesn't show up in services. I can't even seem to unistall it - it doesn't appear as a listed program.
